Netflix Recommendation System
This project is a part of the practical training during my master’s studies at WSU, MI. I have implemented the rating based recommendation for the Netflix system using data mining algorithms in python.
My responsibilities were:
- Understand and analyze the Netflix database containing user ratings on films and series
- Preprocess historical data to remove inconsistency, additional data, null data etc.
- Study top 3 implementation system from the last Netflix Competition 2010.
- Improve the past algorithm using Neighbourhood based collaborative filtering method for the recommendation.
- Improve the results of recommendation based on user ratings.
